The Homeschool Sewing Academy is a hands-on learning experience where students learn sewing from the ground up in a fun, supportive environment.
This program builds confidence, independence, and real-life practical skills through guided projects and step-by-step instruction.

Stitch Control
Learn the parts of a sewing machine and how to use it safely and confidently
Practice threading the machine, winding bobbins, and understanding basic machine setup.
Build control while practicing straight sewing, seam allowances, and accurate stitching.
Fabric Prep & Cutting
Following Instructions
Confidence and Independance
Learn basic fabric preparation, measuring, and safe cutting techniques.
Build independence by learning to follow step-by-step project directions.
Complete guided sewing projects while building confidence and practical sewing skills.

Program Details

No sewing experience required
Meet once a week for 2 hours of hands-on sewing instruction and guided practice.
Machines Available
Students may bring their own sewing machine, or a class machine can be provided based on availability for $15/month rental fee.
Students will complete multiple beginner-friendly projects while building new sewing skills throughout the semester.
