Course Description

Have you always wanted to make a quilt but didn't know where to start? In this guided multi-week series, we'll work together from the very first cut of fabric to the final stitch of binding. You'll learn the fundamentals of quilting while creating a beautiful quilt you'll be proud to keep for years to come. We cover everything from fabric selection and rotary cutting to piecing and binding your very first project. A perfect introduction for those looking to master the art of quilting in a supportive environment. Prerequisite: Students should be comfortable operating a sewing machine, including threading the machine, winding and changing a bobbin, sewing straight seams, and basic machine operation. Completion of Sewing 100: Machine Confidence (or equivalent experience) is recommended. Must have own sewing machine or rent studio machine.
